Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I get a personally autographed copy of one of your books?

A. Yes you can. Please go to the main Bookstore page and order your book directly from me. Please be sure to be very clear about how you want your book signed. Also please note signed copies are only available on the main Bookstore page.

Q. I have a great idea for a book but I'm not a writer. Will you help me write it?

A. Yes, I offer ghost writing services, but I have to warn you that writing and producing a book is both an expensive and a complex endeavor. It can take months, if not years, for a book to be written and published. My ghost writing fee is $35 per page, and I offer writing services only. Once the manuscript is complete I can refer you to publishers, but I can not guarantee they will accept it.

Q. So what is a ghostwriter?

A.  A ghostwriter is someone who is hired to write under someone else's name.

Q. Who is your publisher?

A. Five Star Publications, in Chandler, Arizona.  Their website is FiveStarPublications.com

Q. Are you planning on writing anymore Luke and Jenny books?

A. I've just completed the third book in the series, Riding With the James Gang.  Look for it around Christmas, 2009.  I'm in the early stages of writing the next book, Mystery of the Lost Dutchman Mine: a Luke and Jenny Adventure.

Q. Is there anyplace where I can read excepts from your books?

A. Yes. Go to the Amazon or Borders sub-pages under the Bookstore page. I am using the Amazon "Search Inside" feature on all of my books.

Q. How long have you been doing your historical programs?

A. I've been performing my programs since 2001.

Q. Do you charge a fee?

A. Yes.  While I genuinely love what I do I just can't afford to do it for free.  This is how I make my living.

Q. Do you do other kinds of speaking programs besides historical characters?

A. Yes.  I also do speaking programs on other topics.  For more information please see my Speaking Programs

Q. What age groups are your programs best suited for?

A. I gear my programs for age specific audiences.  I work with students as young as the third grade through seniors.

Q. What can I expect with your programs?

A. I bring artifacts and visual aids, especially with the WWII home front presentation.  I also appear in historically accurate period attire.

Q. Do your books go with your presentations?

A. Yes, some of them do.  My WWII cookbook is a nice take home item for the WWII Housewife program, and Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone covers much of the same material as presented with The Tombstone Storyteller.

Q. Can I buy a copy of your book at your presentation?

A. Absolutely!  I always have my books as a back of room item, but no one is under any obligation to buy.

Q. How do I book you for my school or meeting?

A. It's easy!  Simply visit our Contact Us page.
